Leeks were one of the first successes in our garden! The process is almost identical to growing other onion-type vegetables!

1. When you're preparing your leeks for cooking, leave about an inch or two at the root base.

2. Water Rooting: Place the leek roots in a cup of water. Replace the water daily. Once the roots grow to an inch long, place in soil! Water immediately, then water whenever the soil dries out. OR:

3. Place the leek roots directly in soil. Water immediately. Then, proceed to water whenever the soil dries out.

4. And you're done! Soon, you'll have fresh leek shoots growing for your next recipe!
